Sarah True

Sarah True is a PR professional with vast consumer experience managing national and regional campaigns for a wide variety of products and businesses.

She started her career on a local newspaper, The Yorkshire Evening Press and then moved into the marketing department of T&R Theakston Ltd, then part of Scottish and Newcastle PLC. She became PR Manager for John Smith's Ltd and developed local and national PR campaigns for Fosters, Kronenbourg and John Smith's. Organising large-scale events, negotiating sponsorships, crisis management, lobbying and internal communications were all in a days work at the brewery.

In 2000, Sarah moved to Morrisons Supermarkets who were starting to gather pace and wanted to develop their brand nationally. Sarah headed up the consumer PR team and directed campaigns for all product groups including fresh & frozen foods, home & leisure, beers, wines and spirits, gardening products, fashion and beauty.

In 2004, Sarah started work as a freelance public relations consultant to work with her clients to help their businesses grow.

Sarah is a Director of York Festival of Food & Drink and a member of the Pedal for Yorkshire committee.
